'Datsun', Nissan Motor Corporation's leading Japanese sports car brand, also launched that same year. In 1971, the Datsun 240Z, also known as the Fairlady Z, adorned with the Seiko sponsorship logo, won the East African Safari Off-Road Race, one of the world's most grueling races. The design draws inspiration from the original DATSUN 240Z race car, with the color scheme, dashboard font, and DATSUN logo on the dial.
